The location of a ceremony often inspires our company’s design process. For the dedication of the National WWII Memorial on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., C. Forbes designed a lapel pin with the unique footprint of the actual memorial in mind. The oval shape compliments the memorial designed, constructed and funded by the American Battle Monuments Commission, which honors sixteen million who served in uniform, 400,000 who lost their lives and the countless citizens who supported efforts on the home front. The memorial pays tribute to the U.S. participation in the 20th century’s defining event.
