NASA’s Office of the Chief Engineer annually announces selections for the prestigious Systems Engineering Technical Excellence Award. Presented to teams across the wide array of NASA’s operations Centers, Systems Engineering is a core competency of NASA’s highly skilled workforce. Recognized as one of the Agency’s secret weapons in the success of the Apollo program, and numerous others since then, our firm has been honored to design and produce these awards for multiple years.
Both the coin and the paired 4-inch medallion uses blue enamel to provide a contrasting backdrop for the featured objects. To further enhance the award’s significance, it was presented in a custom cherry wood box, inside of which was a custom wood insert sized to proudly display the medallion.
