Three sites will long be remembered for the events that
occurred on September 11, 2001. Fourteen years later, on September 10, 2015, a
new visitor center was dedicated in Shanksville, Pa., overlooking the site where
United Airlines Flight 93 crashed during the 9-11 attacks. The memorial stands
as a reminder of courageous, selfless action by 40 passengers and crew who
thwarted terrorists’ attempts to change course and head for the U.S. Capitol.
C. Forbes, Inc. is honored to have the official “United in Memory” commemorative challenge coin available at the Flight 93 National Memorial. The Pentagon in Washington, D.C., the World Trade Center in New
York City, and this remote field in Stonycreek Township, Pa. are forever linked
in our nation’s history.
Managed by the National Park Service, and listed on the U.S.
National Register of Historic Places, the memorial includes an outdoor platform
offering a commanding view of the crash site. The visitor center uses photos,
artifacts, and interactive displays to further tell the story of the heroic
actions taken that day. It was “A Common Field One Day…A Field of Honor Forever”. For more on our products and services, please contact us.
