Brass gives each coin a nice weight or “gravity.” Brass also allows for die-striking, a process that presses literal tons of weight into the raw material resulting in deep design relief and superb durability. We offer zinc alloy and die casting as an option for those looking to save a bit. Zinc is a more affordable option that still allows for deep relief, but has a much lighter gravity.
99% of our coins include enamel color fill instead of printed decals; although we offer decals if needed. All color-fill enamel is added to each coin by hand; a meticulous process that makes each coin a true work of art. Enamel fill can be color-matched to meet specific branding requirements, so please be sure to share any pertinent information with our design team so that we can ensure a perfect match.
Pre-Production Sample
Preproduction samples are strongly recommended and can be delivered to your address for just $25. We’re confident in the accuracy of our artwork, but reviewing the product in hand is always helpful. A pre-production sample shows the detail of the coin’s die and allows for last-minute “soft-feature” revisions; aspects like: finish, color fill, and antiquing can all be adjusted before full production begins. If any “hard features” need to be revised, new die fees may apply. Hard features include aspects like wording or text, essentially any raised features of the design.
