The Richmond based gym was established in 1988 for the purpose of helping athletes improve their performance through strength training, metabolic conditioning, and mental toughness.
This caliber of strength training is about more than fitness. It’s about more than achieving physique. Strength training is about readiness and preparedness; and at Total Training these goals become personalized regiments. This is evidently clear when you spend a little bit of time around head Coach Bob Blanton and his team of dedicated trainers.
Step one at Total Training starts with a full evaluation. In these evaluations, Coach Blanton and his wife, Annette, work through a series of mobility tests; they observe posture, take note of past injuries, as well as old training methods. After a full evaluation, Coach Blanton takes his notes and builds a personalized training regiment just for the client. When we say personalized, we truly mean it. These training programs take note of one’s weaknesses and limitations by offering step by step exercises that will work to build and correct the things holding any athlete back.
Once a personalized program is written, Coach Keith and Coach Rubble begin to walk through things with each athlete, learning about limitations and goals, watching closely to make sure that the proper form of each and every exercise is executed correctly. Strength training at Total Training is as personalized as any training regiment can get. Coach Blanton’s success shows through in the successes of hundreds of athletes at all levels.
